5.4. Numerous Product Variations

In a situation where a merchant is charging for different product options, each of which cost a different amount, the number of possible price outcomes is substantial. An example of such a situation is a computer manufacturer. In this case, different computer parts cost different amounts of money.

To solve this problem, the merchant would need to have a form where the consumer can select all the parts of their computer. A script would then need to calculate the total amount of the computer, and place it in the value property of the input field total.
