5.1. Custom Shopping Cart

Custom shopping carts can be a problem in e-commerce. They are often incompatible and costly to develop. A merchant who has already developed a sophisticated shopping cart will not necessarily want to discard the investment such an application requires. Because a shopping cart normally contains a number of products, selected from a possibly huge product pool, it is not possible to predict the total amount of any purchase. The amount of a transaction may in fact be different for each consumer. With the myPaySystems-Pro system, it is possible to integrate almost any custom web-based shopping cart.

The work required to integrate a custom shopping cart with the myPaySystems- Pro application is really quite minimal. All a merchant must do is create an order finalization page, such as the one described in section 4, and send the myPaySystems-Pro order page the necessary parameters via the POST method of form submission.
