1. INTRODUCTION

This document is intended to help Internet merchants using myPaySystems.com as their credit card processing company to implement their myPaySystems-Pro ecommerce application. Though a very brief review of HTML forms is given in the second section of this document, it is assumed that the reader has basic knowledge of the HTML language and is comfortable with its specifications. myPaySystems-Pro is an application that allows merchants to redirect consumers from their site to the myPaySystems.com payment site. Using basic HTML form submission techniques, the merchant’s web site sends information such as the amount of a purchase, a description, or whether the charge will reoccur. Additionally, a merchant may wish to collect personal consumer information, which may also be sent to the myPaySystems.com payment site. This information is redirected with the consumer from the merchant’s web site to the myPaySystems.com payment page (which differs depending on the payment method – credit card or online check), where the consumer confirms their order and is redirected back to a page of the merchant’s specification.

This document is divided into seven sections.
  • The introduction provides a brief description of myPaySystems-Pro, and its intended users.
  • The background section provides background information that will help the merchant understand later instructions on implementing myPaySystems-Pro.
  • The third section lists the preliminary steps that are required to begin implementing myPaySystems-Pro.
  • The fourth section, setup, includes two examples of typical myPaySystems- Pro implementations and step-by-step guides explaining how they were set up.
  • The fifth section covers common applications of the myPaySystems-Pro system demonstrating its potential and flexibility.
  • The sixth section covers troubleshooting and common problems implementing myPaySystems-Pro.
  • Finally, a glossary has been included listing all technical and proprietary terms used in this document.
